NSAC’s Preteen Ministry gets grades 5, 6 and 7 students to be active in spiritual, social, and fun ways! Our program consists of three elements: Sunday morning classes (PTSM), Thursday night group (PTTN), and monthly events, each of which provides a unique environment for Preteens to encounter God, make friends, and have a blast!
Preteen Sunday Morning classes meet three Sundays a month. Students worship alongside their parents at both the 9 & 11 am services before being dismissed mid-service for their teaching time in the corner office. The students then encounter Bible truths through scripture, drama, games, discussion, and prayer.
Preteen nights take place every second Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the church basement. A typical night includes free play, large group games, team activities, a Bible-based message, small group discussion, and snacks. In their small groups students have a chance to meet with other kids of the same age and gender. Led by their leaders, they discuss what they learned from the message and talk about their lives.
Events are held once a month, typically on a Friday night between 6:30-9:00 pm (some events are overnight or on Saturday). Some examples of our Preteen events include: blackout (glow stick games), girls’ sleepover, boys’ night out, camping trip, movie night, and worship night.
