I can't believe it's already May! This year has flown by so quickly, perhaps because it's been full of awesome adventures! We have successfully launched the JustUs project in partnership with the Wellspring Foundation. We had two wonderful launch workshops, here in Vancouver and out east, with more to come. The workshops for Youth Leaders were very well received and now we look forward to more workshops being facilitated with our Youth Curriculum in Christian schools and youth groups across the country.
The biggest adventure, however, is still to come. This summer my husband Chris is coming along with me to Rwanda! I am so excited for him to experience this country and meet my wonderful friends and for him to make a fool of himself on the dance floor as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Rwanda Youth for Christ! Our friends have been teasing me for years, wondering if this Chris guy really exists, so I'm bringing him along to prove it!
It's going to be a relatively small group of us travelling this summer to visit, celebrate, and to facilitate the sponsor letter-writing process at Kigali Christian School. These smaller trips are so important as we continue to invest in our partnership with Rwanda Youth For Christ and we cherish the opportunity to celebrate this huge milestone with our friends. We will also be developing some new media, so keep an eye out for new videos on all our social media channels!
