Dayna Evanow UPdate Sept 25
Hello friends! I hope you had a fabulous week! I am writing to you from the wonderful world of California! I made it safely down to Redding and have had an amazing two week's at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry so far! Its been great settling into Redding and I've encountered God in such sweet and powerful ways already, that my heart is beyond excited for what this next 9 months holds in store! This is just a quick update to say hello and thank you for your prayers and support! I cannot express what a privilege it is to be here at Bethel, and I thank God for giving me this season to be further equipped and empowered to bring forth the kingdom of God! The first year class is over 850 students, and the second year class has 400 students. The third year students are interns, helping lead the first and second year classes with the Bethel church staff and pastors! There are people of all ages, couples, families and from of all walks of life and different countries doing the School of Supernatural Ministry. Some have just graduated school or University, some have been in ministry or missions for awhile, some have sold everything and left jobs, businesses and homes to move to join the school and move into the next thing God has for them. The hunger for God and his presence is unbelievable, and the Lord has been pouring out his love and ministering deeply to people already. One thing's for sure...no one is going to be the same on graduation day! Bethel is unapologetically going after the fullness of God, his presence, his glory and the kingdom of God advancing in every sphere of society! They are radically committed to raising up modern day revivalist's, both young and old, who are lovesick worshipers of Jesus carrying out his mandate to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, set the captives free and bring lost sons and daughters home to the Father! I've been here nearly 2 weeks now, and I am absolutely loving it! I've put a target on my heart and asked God to give me his best shot, and shoot me with arrow after arrow of his love and power! God has been already been shifting mindsets, challenging me in new levels and leading me to step out in faith as I go about life in this community and city. They are training us to be supernaturally, natural. As humans, we have two different realms, but God only has one! And the Lord wants to train our senses to know and feel when Holy Spirit is speaking or moving, and how to follow and see his supernatural love and power released into peoples lives. As Ive been out about doing errands, Ive had a few divine set ups where I've been able to share the Lord's love, generosity and gospel with people and I am so looking forward to seeing what miracles God demonstrates over the weeks and months to come! Here's one quick story and testimony of the Lord's goodness. I had just been to the bank to get some money out to get a few necessary things for my apartment. I was at Ross Dress For Less, and I heard in the aisle next to me a mother telling her three kids that she was sorry but she couldn't buy them what they needed. She was a single mom, and she only had $60 for the week. My ears perked up, and my heart was stirred. The Father was deeply moved with this family. I put down what I was looking at and followed them as they were making their way to the check out. I was nervous, I didn't know how to approach them, but the Holy Spirit was speaking to me. I took out the money I'd got from the bank, and got to them before they got to the checkout. I said hello, reached out my hand and put the money into the mothers hand and told them that the Lord was thinking of them, and that he loved them. The mother stood in awe, a little shocked and embarrassed and started crying, as did her kids. "Why are you doing this? This has never happened to us! Why are you doing this?" she said. I said, "Because God loves you, and he cares for you, and you are on his heart!" With a big smile on her face, she told her two daughters to go and get the item they needed. The teenage girl was 3 months pregnant, and was going to be a single mom as well. I spent a few mins loving on the mom and told the girl how excited I was that she was pregnant, how precious her baby was and what a great mom she was going to be! We gave each other hugs and she gave me her details. I was blown away with the moment. The sweet faithfulness of God to encounter this woman and tell her how much he cared for her and desired to provide for her family's basic needs. I walked out of the store empty handed, but with JOY bursting out of my heart! I love experiencing God's love for people his longing to encounter them with his goodness, because you just want to do it again and again and again! We have all the resources of heaven accessible to us, and a Father that loves his children and loves to let everyone in on that love! We never have to fear that we will be without, or are powerless, because the kingdom of God is within us, and we have Holy Spirit to lead and guide us every day, in every situation! I love being a part of the heavenly "family" business! All of us students are engaged in outreach throughout the week and are currently being put into teams. Bethel has teams going into communities to strengthen the house churches they have planted in neighborhoods, praying for the sick in hospitals, preparing food and giving food and care for homeless and poor, ministering in Retirement homes, working in prisons with juvenile offenders, working in pregnancy care for young girls, street evangelism, working with high school youth, and the list goes on and on. Also, the whole school (1st, 2nd, 3rd students) goes on international outreach for the month of March, and there will be teams spread out over every continent strengthening the work they have already been pouring into in many countries and seeing the love of God invade peoples lives! Even in the midst of the full on schedule, I am finding so much rest and refreshment. This truly is a sabbatical season. And I'm so grateful that Jesus is our good Shepherd, and his leadership is perfect. I don't understand how my heart can be receiving so much rest, healing and freedom, and at the same time be running after the fullness of God, challenged, convicted, empowered and hungry for the glory of the Lord like never before. Its wonderful. He is wonderful. This season is a gift and he is causing my heart to fall in love, all over again. Love is so important, as you do life and minister the gospel. We need to be compelled by love, not duty, striving or performance. Everything flows out of love, and when is does.... it is GLORIOUS! Thank you for your love and support and journeying with me in this season! I will be continuing to write and send updates and cant wait to share more with you! Bless you!
