Belief: Foundations: Unpacking the Apostle’s Creed
Sundays, 7-9pm, January 29 - March 4, 2012.
The Apostle’s Creed is perhaps the most succinct and ancient summary of the Christian faith. A thorough understanding of what this creed summarizes is vital in our journey toward becoming fully mature followers of Jesus. The creed outlines the apostles’ teaching concerning the Gospel and serves to ground our understanding of the Christian faith in the Scriptures.
This six-week class will unpack the Apostle’s Creed in order to:
1. Form and fortify a firm foundational understanding of the Christian faith, as outlined in the Scriptures
2. Equip the saints in sharing what they believe, while being able to recognize and avoid incomplete versions of Christianity
3. Knit-together God’s people in heart and mind through our corporate affirmation of God and his life-altering love for us
