It's Great to be Back in Australia!

Hello, and I hope this find you really well! Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans! Just wanted to say a quick hello and let you know what I've been up to since arriving back in Australia in September. The picture above was taken on a weekend camping trip when a few amazing friends were in town, but for the most part I've been busy at our centre in Townsville welcoming in about 60 new students and preparing for the quickly approaching holiday season and January Quarter! I continue to love what I'm a part of and to see God at work in and through our ministry...thank you for your encouragement, blessings and support!

'Tis the Season!

It's the season to celebrate, which means there's never a dull moment around here. This quarter I'm heading up the planning and oversight of Thanksgiving, a year-end Staff Party, Christmas celebrations, and a few other major events...for approxiametely 150 staff and students. With so many internationals on our centre, my heart is that they would each feel loved, valued, and at home here as they serve this holiday season.

Of course, I’m also working to plan and prepare for the Not For Sale Discipleship Training School I’ll be leading again this coming January. Check out this video my school made last year to get a glimpse of what’s in store again!

A Metal Makeover!

Grinding, sanding, painting and so much more…who knew I would be doing all of these things while helping with the renovations of our Medical Ship!?! That’s right, since the Ships return in Sept she’s been in a maintenance port where we’ve been working to get her set to be more effective for outreach in the coming few years. The guys have been working non-stop and I’ve made it down for some evening and weekends to help. I have to say she’s looking great…and I’ve never been more proud of a white wall then after going through the stages of grinding off the old paint, sanding the metal, putting on a base coat, and then covering it with a few sparkly layers of shiny white! At least for now the rust has all but disappeared! Bring on outreach 2012!!!
