The Sanctuary Course

The Sanctuary Course

Thursday, January 12, 2023

Would you like to learn more about mental health? Would you value connecting with others? Sign up for The Sanctuary Course and explore a topic that is more relevant than ever.

Thursdays, January 12 to March 2
7:00-8:30pm at the church
Facilitated by Debbie Pearmain and Sarah Dewar

---

About the course:
The Sanctuary Course is an eight-part course for small groups designed to raise awareness and start conversations in local churches regarding mental health. It offers communities a base of shared knowledge and the opportunity to discover a common language for talking about mental health.

Topics covered include: mental health and mental illness, stigma, the recovery journey, companionship, self-care, and the role of community. Each theme is covered from a psychological, social, and theological angle, and each session includes a short film that tells the story of a person of faith with mental health challenges.

There is no homework, but it’s recommended that you read the short sessions in the coarse book before each group gathering.

Because there is limited space, please only sign up if you are available to attend a minimum of 6 out of the 8 sessions.

Cost: $10 for printed coarse book  (or download the PDF for free)

Cuban Alliance Women's Ministry - November 2022

The Cuban Alliance Women’s Ministry desires to see Christ transforming the lives of wives of pastors & church planters in Cuba through mentoring, discipleship and leadership development, so that they in turn can do the same with their women leaders and the women in their house groups and communities.

The Women's Ministry (MiMAD) is currently being directed by Pastor Lili Caron, and was founded and continues to be supported by one of our own NSAC missionaries: Gaileen W.

Please join us in praying for this vital ministry:

  •  Strengthening of the national, regional and zone MiMAD teams throughout the island of Cuba.
  • Pray for strategies and new work goals that the MiMAD is setting for 2023.
  • Pray that in this fiscal year the Cuban Alliance can have a national event with representation from Canada.
  • Pray that funds continue to appear to achieve a better job in the midst of the difficult times being experienced in Cuba.

Scent Sensitivities

Some people in our congregation struggle with allergies to scents. In order to help them, please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne to our Sunday services or meetings at the church.

Thanks so much for your help with this!
