NSAC eBulletin for July 18, 2021
Pray for NSA

Pray for NSA

Please pray for Jesse and Sarah McSweeney, Trevor DeFehr and Debra Bickerstaffe who will be baptized at the beach this Sunday! We pray thankfully for God’s powerful work in their lives! Let’s also pray that the relationships that were formed, and the seeds that were planted during SummerJam this past week will bear much fruit in the years to come! That the volunteers and 60+ children who attended will know the Lord and walk faithfully with him throughout their lives.

Pastoral Search Update

Pastoral Search Update

Hello Church,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers; the entire Search Team greatly appreciates it. We are honored to be involved and can tell you it is exciting to be part of this process.

We have now had initial meetings with two candidates, both of whom offer different, but exciting skills. We will be meeting with them again in the next few weeks, in a deeper dive interview, as we continue to seek God’s will in our search.

I want to remind you all that the Pastoral Search Team is not ultimately responsible for selection of our new Lead Pastor, that sits in the hands of the Board. We do, however, take our role seriously in identifying and bringing forward candidates for the Board to select from. Please keep praying for wisdom and insight for the team, as well as for our candidates. It is as important for them as it is for us, that this be the right calling for our next Lead Pastor.

Thanks,

Ronnie Scott
Chair of the NSAC Pastoral Search Team

Reconciliation Seminar

Reconciliation Seminar

Friday, August 6, 2021

The  discovery of the remains of 215 children at the Kamloops residential school has raised further awareness of the mistreatment of Canada’s indigenous people. It is important to not only acknowledge this or feel empathy for those who have suffered,  but to begin to actively seek and participate in reconciliation.  Dr. Jennifer Singh highlighted this in her June 25th article in Christianity today entitled: "The Church Has Ignored the Grief of First Nation Peoples Too Long". Dr. Singh will share her experience in listening, and point us to ways we can respond. Join us as a church as we pay attention to these important truths.

Registration not required
