AGM 2022Sunday, October 23, 2022 The 2022 Annual General Meeting will be on Sunday, October 23rd, at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Business at the AGM will include the presentation of financial statements, election of elders, and election of nominating committee members. The 2022 Annual Report and Reviewed Financial Statements have ben emailed to the Membership list and printed copies will be available at the Welcome Desk this Sunday. The Elders Board candidates up for election are: Clive Harvey and Monica McAlduff. Their biographies, along with those of the elders in the middle of their service term, are available in the Annual Report. |
Operation Christmas ChildSunday, October 23rd to Sunday, November 20th Operation Christmas Child reaches out to children around the world in desperate situations, bringing joy and hope through gift-filled shoeboxes, reminding them that they are loved and not forgotten. Shoeboxes are available in the foyer on Sundays and during the week. Filled shoeboxes must be returned to the church by Sunday, November 20th. Watch how your involvement makes a difference! Alternatively, shoeboxes can be packed online at www.packabox.ca. This year, for the first time, shoeboxes from Canada are being sent to the Philippines. Ukraine and countries in Central America and West Africa will also be receiving our shoeboxes. Would you like to get more involved and help to coordinate this ministry at NSAC? Preteen BLACKOUT!Grades 5, 6 and 7 only - Friday, October 28, 2022 1 Thes 5:5 - "You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness." The Preteens of NSAC will gather in the basement on Friday, October 28th for some Glow in the Dark FUN! 7-8:30pm Suggested Donation: Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Harvest Project. (They need proteins like tuna, salmon, peanut butter or beans) Everyone should wear a white shirt so we can glow in the dark! Registration closes 9am on Friday 28th. Lamplighters LuncheonMonday, October 31, 2022 Our next Lamplighters Luncheon will be held downstairs at NSAC on October 31, 2022. If you are 55 or older, you are welcome to join us from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Our speaker will be Dave Sattler. Registration and payment will take place October 16th & 23rd in the foyer, before the start of each service. There will be no sign up the Sunday before the luncheon. The cost per person is $20. Newcomers LunchSunday, November 13, 2022 If you are new or recently attending our church and would like to connect with our pastors and staff, please join us for lunch in the lower auditorium on Sunday, November 13th. We’d love to get to know you! Families are welcome, and babysitting will be available for kids under 3. Cost is $5 per person (age 12+), free for children (age 0-11). Please register by November 9th.
