Hey Church Family!
This Sunday marks an important transition in our Worship Ministry as we say thank you to Pat Sczebel, who is concluding his time as our Interim Worship Ministry Director. Pat has been an absolute hero in this season—serving with his whole heart. Much of his work has been behind the scenes: coaching our worship leaders, overseeing rehearsals, organizing team training and fellowship, and leading worship faithfully once a month.
Pat also played a key role in the hiring process for our next Worship Arts Pastor and will continue to serve in a mentoring capacity moving forward. We’re so grateful for Pat’s humble leadership and faithful presence. Please join us this Sunday as we take time to honour and thank him in our service.
At the same time, we’re excited to share that three new team members are joining our pastoral staff at North Shore Alliance! Following a careful and team-based hiring process with input from staff, elders, and ministry leaders, we’re thrilled to welcome:

DANELLE CARSOLA
Worship Arts Pastor
Danelle begins on August 24 as our Worship Arts Pastor, helping to shape and lead our worship through music and the creative arts. We’re especially excited for her to be regularly leading us in worship on Sundays. Danelle leads with humility, musical excellence, and a deep desire to glorify God and serve the church.

JOSH CARSOLA
Local Mission Pastor
Josh begins on August 24 as our Local Mission Pastor, working alongside Pastor Dave Sattler with a particular focus on intercultural engagement and local outreach. His role fills an important gap in our ministry that has been vacant for some time—helping us grow as a church that reflects the diversity of our city and builds meaningful relationships across cultures.
In addition to his focus on local mission, Josh will also be involved in other areas of ministry—such as music and student ministries—where needed. Josh and Danelle are married, and we’re grateful for the unique gifts each brings to our team and to our community.

MICHELLE JACKSON
Family Ministries Pastor
Michelle will begin as our Family Ministries Pastor with her first Sunday on staff being September 7. She’ll be working closely with Naomi Peters (Children’s Ministry Director) and Charlotte Canvin who continue to lead in our vibrant and growing NSA Kids Ministry—a ministry that increasingly needs more staff support as it expands. Michelle will also be serving alongside Pastor Anne Thicke in various ministry areas.
Michelle brings warmth, insight, and a deep love for helping families grow in faith together. We’re excited for the ways she’ll invest in children, women, parents, and volunteers alike as she joins our team.
Please join me in welcoming Danelle, Josh, and Michelle—and in praying for each of them as they step into their new roles.
Grace + peace to you,
Rev. John A. Fortune
Lead Pastor, North Shore Alliance Church
