This spring, we’ll be hosting an 8-week journey called Practicing the Way, designed to help you build a foundation for intentional spiritual formation and discover how to follow Jesus in today’s busy, distracted, and increasingly secular world. If you've recently completed Alpha and are early in your Christian journey, this course would be good for you.

Men’s Bible Study: 1 Timothy

We invite you to join our Early Morning Men’s Bible Study, where we will press into the desire to meet with Jesus day in and day out.

This 6-week study will run every Thursday morning from 6:30 – 7:30 a.m., starting May 7, in the Upper Room at North Shore Alliance Church.

Together, we’ll be going through the book of 1 Timothy, exploring what it means to live with strong faith, leadership, and purpose in our daily lives.

Awakening to God's Love

"How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!" Psalm 139:17-18

As we gather at this year's retreat, we will open ourselves to the love of God in community by engaging in a variety of prayer practices. Come with an opennes to encounter God as Carrie Schuliger teaches and guides us through time-honoured ways of prayer, following a rhythm that allows time and space for us to listen to God and to one another. May we come to know some of God's precious thoughts as we intentionally awaken to the One who created us, holds us, knows our hearts, and guides us with grace.

We are so grateful for Naomi Peters--for her leadership and her heart for the children and families of NSAC! She has demonstrated such consistent sacrificial love in caring for our children's ministry. After much prayer, Naomi has decided to step out of her role as Director of Children's Ministry at the end of this summer, but she plans to remain as a volunteer at NSA Kids. We pray that she will know God's great joy and peace in this transition. 

We are also praying for the Lord to provide a Children’s Ministry Pastor (or Associate) to lead and grow our children's ministry in this next season. If you have a heart for children, love building teams, and are passionate about helping young people grow in their faith, please see the job description at the link below for more information.

With its thick forests and glorious ocean sunsets, Rathtrevor Provincial Park in Parksville is the perfect place to get away for the weekend. We'll stay as a group campground just 5 minutes from a sun-baked beach! This place is fully equipped with showers and both flush and pit toilets.

Meet at the foot passenger area at Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal at 5:20pm.
We will be taking the 6:20pm ferry to Nanaimo (bring money for dinner on the ferry $$). 

RETURN:
Sunday May 31st, 2026 on the 4pm ferry from Nanaimo.
Parents should pick up up at the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal at 5:45pm.

SummerJAM is a fun day camp where we lead kids as they play games, make crafts, sing songs and listen to amazing stories! Don't miss what could be the best week of a child's Summer - and yours too!
