National workers serving with Youth With A Mission and Sarnia Jail
Mark Davenport and family have recently moved to Windsor, Ontario, and are expecting to move to Sarnia, Ontario soon. Mark has begun a new job as the Chaplain at the Sarnia Jail. In addition, Mark is continuing to serve with Youth With A Mission on the Board of Directors for YWAM Canada. Mark's wife Karen is also working with YWAM as a personal assistant to the Canadian director.
Here's an update from Mark:
"Hi NSAC!Thank you again for your love and support of me and our family. We are so grateful to all of you and especially to the MOT and Pastor Dave for your ongoing care. It’s been an exciting time for our family and new seasons of life are upon us. We have moved from Thunder Bay down to Windsor and now are expecting to move to Sarnia, Ontario within the next few months as I have recently been working at the Sarnia Jail as the new Chaplain there. It’s an exciting time for me to be meeting the staff and connecting with the inmates. I’ve already found it to be a completely different experience than I had at the Thunder Bay Jail. Folks at the jail have been welcoming and the inmates are eager to connect with me and the programs I’ll be running along with my spiritual care volunteers.
I’ve been in consultation with my leaders at YWAM who are in full support of my mission there and they are excited to be partnering with me again as they were during my time at Redwood Church in Thunder Bay. Another piece of interesting news is that my wife Karen has rejoined YWAM and will be working with our Canadian Director as his personal assistant. This is something she can do remotely so she is eager to be putting her administrative skills to use in the Kingdom once again. Please continue to pray for us and our boys Simeon and Jacob who are both at home with us. Simeon will be attending the University of Windsor remotely. Our daughter Alex and her new husband Josh are still in Perth, Australia also working with YWAM there. We remain grateful for the Lord’s direction in our lives and ask for your continued prayers for us in this new season.
Much love to you all.
