Charlotte directs an initiative called Creative Life - a program of Vancouver Youth Unlimited - which creates opportunities for marginalized youth facing poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges. Creative Life's goal is for these youth to experience transformation through visual arts.
The drive behind Creative Life program is a fight for connection and the desire to create safe spaces of belonging. Within these spaces, they have seen youth learn valuable transferable skills, improve their mental health, discover a vital sense of purpose, and rediscover community in a season of dark isolation.
