Looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer? Join our team as a Summer Intern and make a difference in the lives of kids and families!

Job Responsibilities 

  • Help plan and lead our SummerJAM camp for K – Gr. 5 students, and our preschool camp (administration work, preparing crafts, games, Bible lessons, set-up/take-down, decorating/design, and opportunities to lead small groups).
  • Assist with FLO Soccer Camp for kids aged 7-14. 
  • Help set up, plan, and run NSA Kids Sunday services throughout the summer (lead games, crafts, teaching, and working with volunteers).

You may also help with:

  • Front office coverage
  • Events for preteens, youth, and/or young adults
  • Environmental activities
  • Supporting other ministries including English Language Learners and Seniors ministries.
  • There is also opportunity to lead additional events (e.g. Family games days, youth events, service projects) based on the intern’s passions and where they feel God's leading. 

Requirements

  • Qualifies for the Canada Summer Jobs Grant
  • A devoted follower of Jesus who loves working with kids
  • Available full-time July 6–10 and July 13–17, and most Sundays
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Hardworking, flexible, creative, and organized
  • Post-secondary training within an education or ministry-related field is an asset
  • Able to sign the C&MA Statement of Faith and NSAC Leadership Agreement
  • Valid Criminal Record Check required

Hours per week: 35

Hourly Rate: $20

Duration: 12 weeks

Start date: Earliest May 11th

Summer Intern position is dependent on successful Canada Summer Jobs grant.
