Staff Changes

Staff Changes

Adam Wray has been serving on our Pastoral Staff Team for the past five years.  Recently Adam has sensed a call to a time of personal spiritual growth away from the frontlines of ministry, so Adam will be leaving our Staff Team at the end of the year.  We are grateful for the solid leadership Adam has provided to our Young Adults Ministry and the huge blessing he has been to our congregation.

The Sanctuary Course

The Sanctuary Course

Monday, January 15, 2024

Would you like to learn more about mental health? Would you value connecting with others? Sign up for The Sanctuary Course and explore a topic that is more relevant than ever.

Mondays, January 15 to March 4
7:00-9:00pm at the church
Facilitated by Marlo Hamer-Jackson and Andrew Metcalfe

---

About the course:
The Sanctuary Course is an eight-part course for small groups designed to raise awareness and start conversations in local churches regarding mental health. It offers communities a base of shared knowledge and the opportunity to discover a common language for talking about mental health.

Topics covered include: mental health and mental illness, stigma, the recovery journey, companionship, self-care, and the role of community. Each theme is covered from a psychological, social, and theological angle, and each session includes a short film that tells the story of a person of faith with mental health challenges.

There is no homework, but it’s recommended that you read the short sessions in the course book before each group gathering.

Because there is limited space, please only sign up if you are available to attend a minimum of 6 out of the 8 sessions.

Cost: $10 for printed course book  (or download the PDF for free)
