Please pray for all the marriages in our church. We ask for God to be at the center of each marriage ~ A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecc 4:12. We give praise for marriages that are flourishing and ask God to be reconciling, healing and repairing marriages that need strengthening. |
Building Resilience in an Anxious WorldSeminar for parents of Young Adults, Youth and Preteens Building Resilience in an Anxious World In a recent study by the BCCDC, they found that young adults demonstrated increased mental health and substance abuse concerns following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Similar results have been shown across North America for youth and preteens. Are you a parent of a preteen, youth or young adult at NSA? Please join us for this seminar to better understand anxiety and stress, learn strategies for building resilience, and learn how to initiate conversations with your child . NSA Kids | Thankfulness PartyFor children ages 2 through Grade 4 - Sunday, October 31, 2021 Hey Kids! Come join us during the NSA Kids Sunday AM services (either 9 am or 11 am) on October 31st for our Thankfulness Party! Enjoy crafts, games, a Bible story, and LOTS of FUN! Please enter through the doors off St. Georges Street, bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Vancouver Food Bank, AND wear your favourite costume if you want. Kids ages 2 through Grade 4 are welcome! No Registration Required. |
ESL Bible Study
NSAC is now offering an ESL Bible Study! This group will meet every Monday night at 7pm, from November 8th until December 6th. Come expecting to build friendships within the church community while learning English through Bible Study! Anyone 18+ is welcome to attend. Please bring a pen and a notebook! Koinonia Games NightSaturday, November 6, 2021 Koinonia - NSAC Singles MinistryMission: to build a stronger sense of community for the single folks who attend North Shore Alliance Church. About: We are a group of 30 'somethings' to 60 'somethings' who are divorced, widowed, single, single-parents, etc., who get together once a month to do fun social activities and to make more connections with Christ followers. The activities will be varied, low or no-cost, and will occur on the first or second Saturday of the month. Games NightJoin us at the church on Saturday, Nov 6th at 7 pm for a games night! Mark Davenport UpdateOctober 2021 Mark has begun working as the Chaplain at the Sarnia Jail. He and his wife also work with YWAM. Prayer Requests: - The Davenport family is looking for a home in Sarnia, Ontario. Currently, the commute to work for Mark is two hours. Please pray that they will find an affordable family home in Sarnia soon! - Mark is beginning to feel isolated as the only ministry-focused worker at the jail. Please pray that the Lord would continue to encourage and guide him in his ministry. Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child reaches out to children around the world in desperate situations, bringing joy and hope through gift-filled shoeboxes, reminding them that they are loved and not forgotten. Shoeboxes are available in the foyer on Sundays and during the week. There are gift suggestions available in the PDF attached below. Filled shoeboxes must be returned to the church by Sunday November 21st. You can also pack a shoebox online at packabox.ca and/or make a donation online here.
