We are pleased to be welcoming Dr. Quentin Genuis as guest speaker at our morning services this Sunday, October 4th.

We'll pause our current series and Dr. Genuis will share a sermon titled “LORD, That I Might See: Medical Ethics, Vulnerable Neighbours, and the Light of the Gospel.”

Dr. Quentin Genuis is an emergency physician and ethicist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. He serves as the physician ethicist for Providence Health Care and is Sessional Faculty at Regent College in Vancouver, where he teaches on topics including medical ethics and addiction.

We look forward to hearing from Dr. Genuis as he helps us consider these important issues through the light of the Gospel.

Sunday, October 11th is Thanksgiving, and we're celebrating with Family Services at 9 am & 11 am. This is a special opportunity for families to worship and attend church together!

Children in Kindergarten to grade 4 and Preteens in grade 5 to 7 will join their parents/guardians upstairs for the worship services. Childcare will be available downstairs for children ages 4 and under. 

We look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving together as a church family!

The 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on
Sunday, October 18th, at 1:00pm in the Church Sanctuary.

The business of the meeting will include: the presentation of the financial statements, the election of Elders, the election of lay members to the Nominating Committee, and voting on a resolution to amend the Constitution and Bylaws. There will also be an opportunity for questions following the business of the meeting. 

The 2026 Annual Report, Reviewed Financial Statements, and documents related to the proposed Constitution and Bylaws updates are available on the church website at the link below.

Print copies of the Annual Report and Financial Statements are available for pick up at the Welcome Desk this Sunday.

Men, join us for a weekend of worship, teaching, feasting, rest, and fun! Our 2026 Men's Retreat will be held Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25 back at Loon Lake Lodge in Maple Ridge!

We are thrilled to welcome our speaker Bryan Pue, who will be speaking on "Becoming Men of our Word by being men of Identity, Integrity, and Inspiration."

Preteen Mall Merriment is an event open to all our grade 5, 6 and 7 students. The Preteens will participate in a scavenger-hunt-style jaunt with their preteen leaders at Park Royal Shopping Centre from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday, October 23rd, 2026.

Everyone must register in advance, including any friends joining in, so please sign up before Friday morning. 

Please dress for the weather and come ready to hunt (comfy shoes are a must)!

We will be having child dedications at our services on Sunday, Nov 1st. Child dedication is an opportunity to thank God for the precious gift of your child, and publicly declare your intentions to raise them in a Christian home. It is also an opportunity to pray for our children asking God to guide their steps and pursue them all the days of their lives.

Performance will take place on:
Sunday December 20th at 7:00pm (NSAC)

Registration is open at the link below! We hope all children that attend NSA Kids and Preteens will sign up as soon as possible so we can order their t-shirts for the concert.

Most of the practices will occur during Sunday serices, starting November 8th. Please plan to attend as many Sunday services as possible before the performance.
