Dear NSAC Family,

The past 5 days have been packed with some very exciting mission work.  Thank you for your tremendous support from home - we feel your love and the impact of your prayers.

Amazing time we had Friday and Saturday running a retreat for 20 of Paul’s pastoral students.  This was a wild change of pace from our time in the tribe.  Teaching was on Spiritual Disciplines and we had some sweet times of worship along with deep sharing and prayer in breakout groups.

Sunday Church was memorable - a 3 hour service.  It was powerful to worship Jesus together with our African brothers and sisters.  Afternoon was spent bartering for goods at Masai Market.

Monday and Tuesday we ran a VBS for 80+ kids at Eternal Life Church where Paul has built a friendship with the pastors.  The first day was a challenge as we battled fatigue.  Over the two days we taught on Jonah and Jesus calms the storm and ended with the death and resurrection.  Crafts and games rounded out our full days.  We pray the kids experienced the love of Jesus and that His light will continue to shine through His Church in this part of the city.

Our official mission work here in Kenya now is done.  Tomorrow we go on safari before heading to the airport for our long trek home. (The team arrived safely home on Thursday, Aug 7th.)

Please pray:
1) Thank God for all He has done in and through our team in these precious 10 days on mission in Kenya.  May Jesus continue to move here!
2) For team members to be attentive to the Spirit and give time to process all that God has been doing in our hearts and through our work.
3) For healthy transition back to life at home after all we’ve experienced.
4) For Paul & Jina and the kids in their ongoing work training pastors here in Kenya.

To grow our experience of community and to provide some rest for staff and volunteers this summer, we will have one service at 10 am each Sunday from July 27th through August 31st. This will also be a great opportunity to connect with people in our congregation who regularly attend a different service than you!

Nursery (Babies to 24 months) and Children's Ministry (Preschool to Grade 4) will continue to be available each week.

Our next Lamplighters Luncheon will be held downstairs at NSAC on August 25th from 11:30am - 1:30pm. If you are 55 or older, you are welcome to join us! Pastor John Fortune will be our speaker.

Registration will take place August 10th & 17th in the foyer, before and after the 10am service. There will be no sign up the Sunday before the luncheon. The cost per person is $20. Please pay when you register. Friends are welcome, but please register them also.

REGISTER YOUR TEEN FOR NSA YOUTH 2025/26

Inviting youth of the North Shore to encounter Jesus' love in a fun, welcoming & life-changing community! Our ministry reaches out to grade 8-12 students on the North Shore. We gather together as a large group at the church on Wednesday Nights @ 7pm for worship, games, teaching, small group discussion and snacks during the school year. Youth Wednesday Nights will start on September 10th!

NSAC’s Preteen Ministry is for Grade 5, 6, & 7 students. We want to provide space for preteens to learn about God, build strong friendships and have fun! We'd love to have your preteens join us!

Preteen Sunday mornings will start on Sept 14th, and our first event is Amazing Race on Friday, Sept 26th!

NSA Youth exists to "invite youth of the North Shore to encounter Jesus' love in a fun, welcoming & life-changing community".  If our vision resonates with you... you gotta join us! We're looking specifically for people who LOVE Jesus and have a heart for discipling young people. (You also need to have Wednesday nights free!)
