This week has been full of fun, learning, ministry, and hands-on work!

The Zambia Mission Team jumped into a full week of ministry at Project Samuel—running SummerJAM and FLO Soccer camps each morning for local children, and tackling a variety of building projects in the afternoons.

The team has been working on a new structure to house a generator, batteries, and converter for the solar panels that provide power to Project Samuel. They've also been sanding and painting two roofs to help prevent further rusting, while others have been putting their creativity to work painting a mural!

Pastor Megan shared, "Through it all, this team has been incredible. You should be VERY proud of these young people!".

Please continue to pray for the team—for good health and energy, and that God would work powerfully in and through each team member as they run a youth conference this weekend and serve at church on Sunday.

NSA Kids and preteens are invited to join us at The Outdoor Experience for a fun morning together. Bring food and snacks for your family, and book your own tickets. Booking opens on August 12th on the Township of Langley website. Parent/guardian participation required.

Are you 55+ ? We invite you to join us for lunch, fellowship, a speaker and a few songs at our Lamplighters Luncheon on Monday, August 31st. It's a great way to meet new people and catch up with others! 

The menu for this month is sandwiches and salad. Tickets ($15) are a must for all attendees. They can be purchased in the foyer on Aug 16th & 23rd before and after the 9 am service. If these times are a challenge for you, you can book a spot by emailing Anita at odoo@shaw.ca before 7 pm on Monday, Aug 24th. Friends are welcome, but they must also be registered in advance.

About the Study:
Witness the moments, ministry, and miracles of Jesus.  In Max Lucado's 12-lesson Bible study, Life Lessons from John, we are privileged to see the hands-on Jesus through the eyes of John, who saw his acts firsthand. The water that turned to wine; the mud placed on a blind man's eyes, the aroma of Mary's perfume, and even Jesus' voice. John's gift to us is a record of tender moments and heaven-powered miracles.

All students in Grades 8 to 12... Join us for an incredible weekend at Green Bay Bible Camp from September 18–20, 2026!

We'll meet at the church at 4:00pm on Friday, and travel by charter bus to Westbank. Our return is anticipated to be around 7:30pm on Sunday.

Cost: $180 per student (scholarships are available—contact Megan if needed). This includes transportation, accommodation, meals at Green Bay, wakeboarding/tubing, and all retreat activities.

You will also need to bring around $30 cash for Friday and Sunday dinners, and any additional snacks you want on the road.

Registration closes on Wednesday September 16th at midnight, but please sign up long before then! Space is limited.

At NSA Kids, we want to grow in our friendship with Jesus and with one another through engaging Bible stories, worship, games, prayer, and plenty of fun. And yes—there are yummy snacks too!

All children from Nursery to Grade 4 are welcome. Our children's area is located downstairs, and check-in opens 10 minutes before the service starts. For your child's safety, access to the children's area is through the main foyer only.

2026/27 REGISTRATION:

9 AM SERVICE: Babies through Grade 4 are welcome downstairs for NSA Kids church as normal.

11 AM SERVICE: Children will join their families in the main service upstairs. Activity sheets will be available to help keep kids engaged during the service.  

We'll be back to our regular schedule on Sunday, September 6, with NSA Kids available at both the 9 am & 11 am services.

Please collect your missing clothing and items from the Lost & Found box at the Welcome Desk. Anything remaining will be donated at the end of the week.

Some members of our congregation are sensitive or allergic to fragrances such as perfume and cologne. To help make our church a welcoming and comfortable place for everyone, we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or other strongly scented products when attending Sunday services or meetings at the church.
